More About 2inOne
We have noticed a lot of players throughout the NFL season wearing the 2inOne pads. For example the Diggs Brothers. Stefon was seen taking off the pads after their game against Tampa Bay. And Trevon Diggs can be seen wearing them practically every week. Here are some reviews we made on the pads.

If you are looking at this blog post, I am guessing you know the term...
"Look Good, Play Good". But keeping your cleats clean will not only look good, it will make your cleats last longer.
Don't be the guy who never washes his cleats, not only do they smell but they won't last as long as they should. If your cleats are lasting only one season, its possible that you are not taking proper care of them. Make it a habit to keep your "Kicks Klean".
In this video I used the Reshoevn8r cleaning kit to clean a pair of my Nike Alpha Menace Elite TD football cleats but also a pair of my Nike Air Jordan 1's.
Watch as I use the 3-Brush Advanced Laundry System as it has all 3 of our premium brushes making it suitable to clean the delicate uppers and rugged soles.

Be on the look out for more of our Game Tested reviews and unboxings in the future!

VKTRY is a company that created performance insoles that will make you run faster, jump higher and just create overall more explosiveness. So me being intrigued, I decided to take a look around the website to see if this wasn't a scam or something, but lord beholds, it seems to be legit. Here's what the creators had to say about it.
"The VKTRY Performance Insole is the first-ever high-performance insole designed to return the energy an athlete generates as explosive power, speed and agility. It's patent carbon-fiber design is scientifically proven to help athletes to run faster, jump higher, and take their game to the next level."
To be honest, I wouldn't mind checking this product out for myself. I mean, I don't mean to brag, but I think I'm a pretty athletic and explosive athlete myself, but a little extra boost wouldn't hurt at all.
I remember some time ago, a different company created a basketball shoe that promised to make you jump higher as well. And it really did! But the problem is that the NBA had banned the shoes from being worn in the games. So naturally, that decision, trickled down to the other leagues forcing their hand to ban the shoes as well. Pity.A great product that can't be used. Could you imagine Lebron James wearing a pair of those shoes? It would be crazy to see him jump out the gym!
But as unique as this product is, I'm sure that once, if, guys start wearing this insole in football games that the league will ban it labeling it as performance enhancement drugs equipment or something like that.
But anyway, if you see any of my highlights this year with me jumping significantly higher, I promise it will be from hard work in the gym and not the insoles. lol
Visit VKTRY's website if you would like to find out more information. Ok I'm signing off. I have to do some shopping for insoles football cleats for this upcoming season. Have a happy New years!
Before you start installing your playbook, you should know exactly what you are working with on defense in terms of personnel and skill. A lot of people believe that every playbook can be ran or installed by any team. Theoretically speaking this is true, but that doesn’t mean it will be executed in the way it was intended. You would want to ask yourself, who is my best pass rusher? Who is my best cover cornerback? Are my linebackers small, but quick? Or are they big? Slow? Strong? All these things you need to take into account when thinking about installing certain defenses. An easy example of this is using a 3-4 as opposed to a 4-3 if you lack good depth at the defensive line position. If you understand your personnel, it will make it a lot easier for you to make adjustments or any additional plays to your existing playbook. A defense catered to your players and your defensive needs will be great in the long run. As a Defensive Coordinator or DC, you want to make the preparation for your opponent as easy as possible for your players; so an extensive playbook not suitable for your team can be detrimental to the performance of your defense.
2. Know your Opponent!
As a player and coach, you should always look for a way to gain a competitive edge over your opponent. You should have an idea of what play they are running before the play even starts. Study the game film. Figure out what they like to run on what down and distance and out of what formation. Does the OT align a little deeper when they are passing the ball? Does the running back align a little tighter when he’s getting the ball? With 11 guys on the offense, there are many things that can go wrong. You are bound to find something. But these are all the things you should be asking yourself when preparing for your opponent.Research the star players
The plan of action, what you will do with the information you gathered about your opponents tendencies. You now know what your defense is capable of doing. You should also have an idea of what the offense is going to do. So now you have to come up with a game plan that will give your team the best opportunity to win. For each formation, on a certain down and distance, you should have a handful of plays that you want to run to defend the offensive attack. On top of that, you want to foresee any adjustments that may happen during the game. You should be checking for the offense’s personnel grouping, the down and distance and what formation they are in to determine what will be the best play to call against them. What are their adjustments against your blitz package? How are they blocking your DL and LB’s? What adjustments could they make when you run a certain coverage?
Take note of these:
1. Developing your strategy
2. Significance Of Personnel Groupings
1 Tablespoon: Ability to Run the Football
Having the ability to run the ball effectively is perhaps the single most important factor in having a championship-caliber offense. It gives teams the opportunity to sustain drives and control the time of possession, while also creating match-up nightmares for a defense.
Once a RB slips past the defensive line, it is on the wide receivers to turn a positive gain into a first down or even a touchdown. In the NFL, wide receivers can get away with not blocking down field but the college game is different. Taking plays off and being lazy with "stalk blocking" will get players a quick spot on the pine.
2 Tablespoons: Ability to Make Defenders Miss in Space
When receivers don't get on their blocks downfield, it's important to have a RB who can make a defender miss. This is especially important for teams that run a spread offense like the Oregon Ducks. One of the main goals of the spread is to get RBs and WRs against defenders one-on-one in space. Oregon loves to run the wide zone running plays and quick bubble passes out of the shotgun giving the running back room to make a cut in the hole and make defenders miss.
3 Tablespoons: Ability to Get Over-the-Top of the Defense
Running the ball effectively can tighten up a defense and open things up down the field but that can also work vice versa. When a team has incredible athletes on the outside, the offense is able to threaten a defense deep and soften them up allowing more running lanes for the run game.
4 Tablespoons: Aggressive Play-Calling
Much like Jimbo Fisher, Duke Coach David Cutcliffe is an aggressive play-caller who doesn't mind taking chances.
"We will be very aggressive in our play calling and hopefully very disciplined offensively where we have a great ratio in pass attempts to interceptions ratio, sack ratio and attempt to touchdown ratio. That is what we are looking for, producing points. We have a goal. We go into every game thinking we can score 30 points or more."
The Blue Devils head coach and offensive coordinator are not afraid to take their shots on 2nd and short or 3rd and medium.
5 Tablespoons: A Great Quarterback
This ingredient is pretty much self explanatory. For example, here is an analyst's take on who he think is the #1 QB in the 2017 draft.
"DeShone Kizer, Quarterback of Notre Dame is capable of making beautiful touch passes with superb accuracy and ball placement while being under fire from the pass rush. His field vision is very good as he moves his eyes through his progressions, even with defenders bearing down on him. Additionally, Kizer has the arm strength to make all the throws and beat good coverage. He consistently shows the ability to drop in accurate touch passes downfield and the mobility to make plays with his feet. Kizer is an excellent pocket passer."
In 2016, Kizer completed 59 percent of his passes for 2,925 yards with 26 touchdowns and nine interceptions. He also ran for seven touchdowns. Kizer completed 63 percent of his passes in 2015 for 2,884 yards with 21 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. He also ran for 520 yards with 10 scores on the ground.
Why should you read the big guys up front? Well it's simple. They will let you know not only if its a run or pass but also in a lot of cases they will take you right to the point of attack. Thus putting your defensive players in a better position to make plays. High hats equals pass and Low hats equals run; or in other words, if the offensive line raises his head high then it is usually a pass play. But if he keeps his head low then its probably a run play. The faster they can recognize if its a run/pass, the faster they will get to their responsibility and make plays. Here's an easy drill you can do with your players!
]]>When I signed my rights away to Northwestern University and the NCAA, there were a few local news cameras in attendance accompanied by my future position coach, family and friends. But now days, these kids are taking it to a whole new level. I mean, they traded in humility for stardom. They want to be stars and celebrities before paying their dues. Now days, kids are creating professional quality, well written, theatrical production videos to announce which school they will decide to play college ball for. Lebron James didn't even do that when he decided to go to the Miami Heat and the entire world ridiculed him for it. Yeah yeah, I know what you're saying, these are just kids. I understand that. In fact I think I blame Lebron James for making the signing of a contract such a spectacle.
Now don't get me wrong, some of these videos are freaking awesome, but why isolate the player from the TEAM. I must admit, it would have been fun to partake in the production of the videos, especially the one when they parodied The Walking Dead and the one where they rolled out the red carpet for another kid committing to UCLA. But at some point we must draw the line. I believe we are opening Pandora's box and creating monsters and prima donnas. I can only imagine what it will be like in the years to come. We might see full fledged movies and biopics of 5 star recruits before they even step foot on college campus. Pretty soon middle school athletes will announce what high school they will attend on live television shows for the nation to watch. Before long, they will be doing a multitude of interviews on syndicated radio shows. TMZ will be knocking at these kids doors with paparazzi. I could go on and on about this, but I will let them live without going in on them too hard.
Maybe some good can come out of this. Maybe it will influence more football players and athletes of different sports to work harder; creating a more competitive environment for the sport. Maybe this is a plan devised by the executives of the NFL to help spark the growth of the sport, since there has been a reduction of athletes playing football in recent years due to the whole concussion scare sweeping across the states. All we can do is sit back and watch how it all will pan out. But anyway, I included 2 of my favorite videos below. Enjoy.

]]>I've been playing and coaching American football for a while now and everywhere I went, the #1 common mistake athletes make when shuffling is that they bring their feet together. Your feet should never meet! Your heels should never touch each other. If they are touching when you're taking each shuffle step, then chances are you are high in your stance. Secondly, if your feet are touching during the shuffle, it will take you longer to change direction. As football players, we all know how important it is to change direction quickly enabling you to react a lot faster.
Check out the video for the details.
]]>There is a new football league under development that allows college aged players to get paid from playing the sport they love even though they didn't attend college. The Pac Pro League, will consist entirely of players who did not go to college to play football. It's said that the players will make on average $50,000 yearly salary. With all that money for some 18-22 year old athletes, people are probably thinking that it will not be managed right by the individual, but the league also has some counseling and financial advising that each player must partake in. In fact, the league will have it's own financial curriculum that will help prepare these young men, and or women, for real life.
I know many of you are wondering if this league will even start; following the path of many other football leagues who tried and failed to have a successful campaign. But just to ease your thoughts a bit, the league seems to have a great backing of leadership and experience in the football game. It's said that many former NFL coaches, players and associates are involved in this league.
I'm not sure how I feel about this league and to be quite honest, as good as it sounds, I think I would have still took the route of going to college. But I can't help to ask myself, "where was this league when I was in High school?" As an adult, looking back with this league in mind, if I didn't have many scholarships or lack there of, I think I would have at least attempted to participate in this league. Would I let my child play in this league? Yes I would consider it because I know that based off of sheer numbers, its very difficult to go to the NFL. So why not explore more options? Who am I to shy my son away from the opportunities of different leagues. I've played in several different countries and leagues across the world from Europe to Asia. Why not give my son the same opportunity. Right?
Let me know what you think. Would you let your child opt out of college and play in this league? Comment below and let us know.
]]>Somebody come look at this. Anybody. Please tell me that these are some of the new uniform designs of 2017-2018 NFL and NCAA football seasons. Seriously, these are some dope designs! Normally, I do not like many of the concept drawings of uniforms that float around on the internet. You've seen them too. They are usually super flamboyant, bright, abstract or just outright ugly. Some uniforms either have too much going on or too less. I mean there are some do's and don'ts to the uniform game. And from what I can tell, Avala Fabrica is doing a good job, especially with the design concepts.
Adam, Avala Fabrica's creative designer, concepts has been featured on ESPN and once you see the uni's you would know exactly why.
"Designing football uniforms has been a passion of mine for the longest time. It really seems to be a talent of mine that lets me show how creative I can be. Along with designing uniforms for teams in Europe and all over the world I like to design concept uniforms for teams in NFL and NCAA pretty often. The Color Rush series really inspired me this year. I loved how the teams were almost completely monochrome and how a lot of them blended styles from the past with styles of the present. So I thought I would put my own spin on it."
Boy, did he put a spin on it. That boy put a Lebron James,360, off the backboard--spin on these designs. My favorite is probably the concept for my Alma Mater, Northwestern University. Oh and the NFL color rush concepts are pretty sweet as well. But they are all dope. Check them out below and visit TDEU (Touchdown Europe) for the full story and more uniform concepts.

In this video, I break down the Stance and Start down to the bare minimum so you all can understand the importance of a good stance and start. You can't have a good start without a good stance and vice versa. I know you have heard that cliche saying, It's not how you start, but how you finish," but why not be great at the start too?

I always wondered if NFL players do the same type of drills we all used to do back in college. Playing at Northwestern University, we weren't exactly known for a prestigious football program, but we were known for playing smart football. Which mean, not only did we work out hard, but we trained smarter. After 5 years of this approach in college, I had earned an opportunity to go into pre-season camp with the Chicago Bears. Although I didn't male the team, I did walk away with riches....rich in knowledge and a host of drills and work outs. I want to share some of those drills and knowledge with you.
To be honest, I thought NFL players were all 'super heroes' with super human strength and speed. Although NFL athletes are listed as the top athletes of the world, YOU are not far behind them. Here is the first installment of a simple drill that all NFL and College linebackers and Defensive linemen do on a weekly basis.

]]>Who remembers the XFL? This American football league was quite different from all the rest. It was filled with lots of TV antics and drama. It had similar rules to the REAL game of football, but it also had rules that was totally different. For example, in normal football, at the beginning of the game there was no coin toss to see who receives the ball first. Instead they placed the ball on the 50 yard line and made a player from each team race to the ball. Who ever recovered the ball first gets the ball.
There were crazy things going on as well, like the use of nicknames on the back of there uniforms instead of their last names that are used in traditional football. One of the names I remember was, "He Hate Me". Yes this was the name that was written on the back of his uniform. Yes, it was the name that the announcers yelled after every big play this guy made. For a list of the top nicknames click here.
Not only were the names of the players unique, even the names of the teams were different as well. Names like, the New York-New Jersey Hitmen, San Francisco Demons and the Birmingham Thunderbolts. The Thunderbolts? Haha. Could you imagine a big ass Thunderbolt of lighting as the mascot, taking pictures and signing autographs with the kids and the fans? I don't quite remember what the mascot looked like, nor could I find any images, but the thought of it just makes me laugh.
Although this football league failed miserably, it's still being talked about to this very day. The football sucked, but there's still a part of me that wish this league was still around today so I could have my nickname on the back of my jersey. ITsMeechieBaby!

It seems like everyone is going crazy over this sport played with an oblong ball. I mean, the entire world, besides the USA, giggles at the fact that it's called football.
Japan has been playing football for decades and now it has arguably, the 3rd best American Football League behind Canada and the obvious United States of America.
They even had a NFL Europe league! So I ask you, where do you think this new NFL team will be? Could it be the Beautiful Barcelona! Or the bad ass Berlin?
Well if you saw the blogs cover photo you probably already guessed it. But if not here it is.
The LIVERPOOL (enter name of animal here)!!
Even though it hasnt been confirmed where the next NFL team will be, but it only makes since that a city in the UK will be one of the homes of a future NFL team when ever they decided to do. They had been playing games in the UK for years building a hefty fan base. The Uni's look kind of cool though. If you're a big football (soccer) fan then you know all about Liverpool and the rest of the good soccer teams out there. The 5 stars down the middle is kind of dope.
What do you think? Would you rock these uniforms? Leave a comment below.
No there isn't any NFL in the country of India, but there is football. And no it doesn't have the same ending as the movie reference of Slumdog Millionaire. But they do have something in common. They both include young teen boys who aspire to be rich.
When I got hired as coach and trainer with the EFLI, I had no idea what to expect, but all I know is that I had to get these boys game ready in less than 6 months. (And, umm...yeah that's me up there.)
Although they had never played the sport before, they their interest grew with hopes of making millions of dollars like REAL NFL players. Wouldn't you want to be a millionaire too?
Keep in mind that the guys in India had never seen a football, let alone know what American football was. At first it seem like an impossible feat, but the more and more we practiced. And the more we coached. The better they got. And by the time those 6 months were over, they were ready to play.
Here are some highlights of 1 of the teams I coached out in India. Although the film looks like it was filmed in the 70's, with it's vintage filter look; you just gotta' admit--its not quite that bad after all.
And try not to laugh at the fact that it is impossible for the guy in this blog's cover photo, to be 6'2 /1'88 and 120 lbs /58 kg.
And who is Michael Ober??
